- Engage end users, developers, asset owners and major programme customers before specification stage to create early-stage demand.
- Identify, qualify and shape opportunities with clear strategic value, system sales potential, budget, timing and decision drivers.
- Develop senior stakeholder relationships and account plans for selected strategic customers, including estate priorities, future pipeline and repeat programme potential.
- Shape customer thinking around system performance, sustainability, energy efficiency, lifecycle value, standardisation and total HVAC solutions.
- Coordinate System Sales, Product Specialist and Marketing input where this materially strengthens the opportunity or customer proposition.
- Handover qualified opportunities to Consultant Sales or Contractor Sales at the appropriate lifecycle stage, providing clear stakeholder, commercial and technical context.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and support the Sales Director with strategic pipeline visibility, account prioritisation, handover quality, incentive governance and implementation of the lifecycle-led commercial model.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience creating and developing strategic commercial opportunities with senior customer stakeholders.
- Experience engaging end users, developers, asset owners, consultants or major programme customers before tender stage.
- Strong understanding of HVAC products, systems, specification influence and value-based technical selling.
- Track record of building qualified pipeline, account plans and long-term customer relationships.
- Experience coordinating internal stakeholders across sales, technical, marketing and operational teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present at senior level.
- Strong commercial judgement, opportunity qualification and margin awareness.
- Experience using CRM to manage opportunities, ownership, next actions and performance visibility.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise strategically and operate effectively across a national remit.
- Significant commercial experience in HVAC, building services, construction, technical sales or a closely related sector.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in system-led HVAC sales, integrated solutions, controls, hydronics or building performance propositions.
- Experience leading or coaching Business Development, Key Account or technical sales colleagues.
- Experience working with strategic accounts in commercial, retail, healthcare, developer or estate-led environments.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE /A Level or equivalent, including strong IT literacy.
- Strong understanding of strategic account development and the project lifecycle from early influence through specification and tender.
- Computer literate in MS Office, CRM and business reporting systems.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
