We are recruiting for an experienced Area Sales Manager across the North East of the UK. This role will be primarily required to develop and gain new business in the Fire and Smoke Control sector for the Actionair by Swegon brand. The role involves approximately 50% account management and 50% new business. Targets and sectors are identified with resources provided by the company. This role will report into the National Sales Manager, particularly looking after contractors and consultants in the North East. Although this is a remote working role, there may be the requirement to attend one or multiple of our locations across the UK, depending on the needs of the business. The ideal candidate would therefore need to be located in or around the North East of the UK.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Promote the products and services offered by Actionair to the commercial building services sector
- Sell and promote products and services to end users, design consultants and mechanical contractors
- Work towards and achieve planned targets
- Ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded, communicating effectively at all times
- Respond to clients’ needs and requirements in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide an appropriate electronic or paperwork audit trail that is in line with company standards and requirements
- Provide technical seminars and CPD’s
- Attend sales meetings periodically with the sales team, presenting a report on the activities in your location that includes matters of strategic interest to the business

- B2B field sales (min 2 years)

- GCSE / A Level or equivalent, (including IT)
- General technical aptitude/knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Valid UK Driving Licence
