We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director to join us at Swegon UK which supports all five business entities across the UK and Ireland and will also encompass full business controlling responsibilities in Swegon Ltd. This position requires seamless coordination with Finance Managers across other Business Units, as well as working closely with Group Finance, to ensure consistency and alignment with overarching group objectives.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Compliance (selective entities)
- Liaise with auditors, managing audits and ensuring timely information flow.
- Oversee statutory reporting and year-end Group reporting with external advisors.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, Group policies, and local tax requirements.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and Strategic Support (selective entities)
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, preparing financial data and presentations for Group leadership.
- Advise business leaders on tax, legal, and financial matters to support decision-making.
- Maximise Group loss offsets and manage annual dividends and loan repayments.
- Collaborate with HR on the annual pay increase process.
- Shared Services and Process Optimisation (all 5 UK entities)
- Manage UK Group A/R, A/P, payroll, and expenses for efficiency and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements, standardising systems across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement with the Nordic Primary Accounting Centre (M3).
- Team Leadership and Organisational Development
- Lead the finance team, fostering development and alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a key financial partner to business leaders, ensuring effective communication.
- Cash and Financial Operations Management
- Optimize working capital, focusing on Accounts Receivable and Inventory management.
- Enhance understanding and control of Gross Margins and OPEX through strong internal controls.
Essential Experience
- Experience in shared services and financial management.
- Strong leadership and data management skills.
- Proficient in financial reporting and accounting systems.
- Able to work independently with spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Experience working with auditors for annual reviews.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications: CIMA and/or ICAEW.
- Proven leadership in managing finance teams and shared services in a matrix environment.
- Strong expertise in financial management, reporting, and process optimisation.
