We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and emotionally intelligent support worker to assist a young female client recovering from a brain injury sustained in a road traffic accident. The client has limited mobility; she can walk short distances with assistance but uses a wheelchair in the community. She experiences cognitive impairments, including reduced short-term memory, and requires full support with all activities of daily living. Despite her challenges, she enjoys an active and engaging lifestyle.
Our client's interests include:
- Gym sessions with her personal trainer
- Hydrotherapy and yoga
- Music therapy
- Cinema outings
- Getting her nails done
- Walking her dog in the park
- Listening to R&B and popular music
She has a quirky sense of humour and appreciates fun, light-hearted interaction.
We are looking for a support worker who is:
- Strong, bubbly, and upbeat in personality
- Calm and grounded under pressure
- Adaptable and able to manage unpredictable situations with empathy and professionalism
- Experienced in complex care, particularly with cognitive or neurological needs
- Comfortable working in a household with a small dog (pet friendly essential)
Driving Requirements:
- Must be over 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)
- Must hold a full manual UK driving licence, confident and responsible driver, as you'll be transporting the client between locations regularly
