SweetTree Home Care Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager to join our passionate team in London. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance framework and compliance processes throughout the organisation. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, ensuring that we maintain our reputation as a provider of exceptional care services. Your expertise will guide our team in delivering a service that is not only compliant but also reflective of our core values and mission.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular audits, managing risk assessments, and facilitating training sessions to enhance our team's understanding of quality standards and compliance.
  • Carrying out Quality Assurance reviews for clients and Support workers.
  • Working closely with the Specialist Services Director & support Managers to ensure the smooth running of the Specialist Services.
  • Performing client file audits and flagging any issues in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in reviewing ongoing concerns, complaints and incidents and delivering 3 monthly reports to present in compliance update meetings.
  • Working as part of a compliance team.
  • Overseeing new starter checks, Care Certificate and Probation reviews for new support workers.
  • Assisting in onboarding new office staff through the induction process.
  • Overseeing the successful completion of compliance processes across the Specialist services.
  • Supporting in completing complex internal investigations.
  • Preparing reports and evidence for inspections and quality reviews.
  • Reviewing and completing policy and procedure documentation.
  • Collaborating with the training department to ensure Support worker training is in line with service needs.
  • Supporting the Specialist Service Director with any safeguarding concerns.
  • Assisting the Managers in performing interviews.
  • Reviewing updating of support plans/risk assessments, training and guidance as identified during any review/file audit/investigation process.
  • Undertaking any ad hoc client/employee driven KPI management tasks.
  • Preserving independence & dignity of Clients as much as possible.
  • Promoting equal opportunities and respect diversity, different cultures and values.
  • Carrying out any other duties as stipulated by the Specialist Services Director.
  • Contributing to the overall development of the service and promoting a positive image of the service users and SweetTree Home Care Services.
  • Preparing, attending and engaging in regular facilitation, appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities, brain injuries, and neurological conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of how health and social care is structured.
  • Detailed understanding of Quality Assurance processes in the care sector.
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to the Care Sector.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by Support Workers.
  • Willingness to work towards a level 3 in health and social care.
  • Self‐motivated, reliable, flexible and dedicated to this client group.
  • Experience liaising with external stakeholders and other professionals.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully at different levels.
