Salary: ÂŁ13.20 - ÂŁ15.35 per hour (with the ability to access a % of your earnings in just 4 days or less after completing shifts!)

SweetTree Home Care Services is looking for a dedicated Learning Disability Support Worker to join our award‑winning team. If you are an experienced, dedicated support worker with a deep understanding of individuals' needs and the importance of person‑centred care, we want to hear from you. Your hands‑on experience and your commitment to making a difference in people’s lives set you apart.

As a Learning Disability Support Worker, you will receive specialised training and have the opportunity to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and clinicians. Whether you are seeking full‑time or part‑time positions, we would ideally require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with a minimum of 3‑hour visits per client to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Supporting individuals with household tasks and upkeep

Eligibility Criteria
  • Minimum 3 months work experience with learning disabilities and autism is a strong advantage
  • The ability to connect professionally and empathetically with elderly or disabled clients, even in challenging situations
  • Ability to cultivate a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and well‑being
  • An understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities who are vulnerable within society
  • Ability to administer medications, making a meaningful difference in their health journey
  • Ability to help with grocery shopping and meal preparation based on clients' preferences and needs
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, manual handling, and health & safety standards
