We are looking for a Senior Land Quality Consultant to join our Land Quality team within the Infrastructure and Environment Division.
What does the role involve?
- Providing consultancy services for geo‑environmental assessments.
- Preparing desk studies, site investigations, risk assessments and validation reports.
- Supervising site investigations, remediation, demolition, and construction programmes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Acting as project manager on small to medium projects and progressing towards managing larger projects.
- Assisting in the production of proposals and bids.
- Developing and strengthening existing and new internal and external client relationships.
- Preparing clear, accurate, and well‑presented reports and drawings.
- Mentoring junior employees.
What do you need to be successful in the role?
- Qualified to degree level, preferably MSc, in a relevant technical subject.
- Chartered or working towards chartership with an appropriate professional body.
- Detailed knowledge of best practice guidance, regulation, and legislation in contaminated land.
- Applied knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
- Proven experience delivering and managing site visits, investigations, and remediation works to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Track record in design and supervision of site investigation works, including varied techniques, soil logging, chemical and geotechnical sampling, analysis, and gas and groundwater monitoring.
- Experience in collecting, managing, analysing, and interpreting data.
- Highly experienced in technical report writing, including Phase 1 desk studies, factual and interpretative investigations, qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, remediation option appraisals, and verification reports.
- Experience with land regeneration frameworks, such as gas infrastructure/utility clients, is desirable.
- Full driving licence.
