About Us
Sweco Building Control are the leading Building Control consultancy in England and Wales, providing market-leading expertise as a Registered Building Control Approver since 1998. We pride ourselves on our quality and technical expertise that underpins our full suite of Building Control services, our approach is to listen and engage with our clients to anticipate the regulatory issues that will need resolving and work in partnership to deliver a successful project.
We are currently looking for motivated Class 2 and 3 Building Inspectors to join our team. We operate a hybrid model which for us means typically 3 days in the office or on site and 2 days at home (depending on the need for site visits/clients meetings).
What does the role involve?
You’ll Manage a Broad And Interesting Range Of Projects Where You Will Be a Member Of a Highly Motivated Team And Have Responsibility For
- Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
- Undertaking site visits, preparing site visit reports, witnessing tests (therefore a full, valid driving licence is essential).
- Attending client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building control work.
- Be familiar with and use the management systems, including complying with the Quality Management system.
- Operating in accordance with the commercial requirements of the projects (costs and programme).
