We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Sustainability Consultant to join our team in either Maidenhead or London.
Role Overview
As a Sustainability Consultant specializing in Green Certification and Sustainability Strategy, the successful candidate will play a vital role in driving sustainability initiatives, developing green certification strategies and delivering sustainable solutions to our clients.
- Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage BREEAM green certification projects.
- Develop and implement sustainable certification strategies for new and existing buildings.
- Conduct site visits, audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with sustainability standards and provide recommendations.
- Mentor graduate BREEAM Assessor and BREEAM APs.
- Utilise Sweco’s AI technologies to increase productivity of certification assessments and produce clear, accurate technical reports.
- Identify and recommend improvements to design solutions and internal processes and share learning through knowledge‑management channels.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability objectives and develop comprehensive strategies.
- Conduct sustainability assessments to identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and reduce carbon footprint.
- Provide expert advice on sustainable design, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management and other practices.
- Lead client meetings, workshops and presentations to communicate strategies and project outcomes.
- Assist in business development activities, including proposal writing, project scoping and identification of expansion opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation, including performance metrics, summaries and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
- BREEAM Assessor and BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) qualification essential.
- Demonstrated experience in providing sustainability consultancy, green certification and strategy development.
- Strong knowledge of BREEAM and other frameworks such as LEED, WELL, etc.
- Advanced degrees or additional certifications are advantageous.
