We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services design team in Maidenhead or London. You’ll be part of a multi‑disciplinary department delivering detailed Building Services designs for projects across the UK and overseas, with flexible working options that include a minimum of three days per week in the office or on site.

What does the role involve?

  • Undertaking outline and detailed designs and specifications for electrical works.
  • Providing day‑to‑day technical input as part of a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Ensuring design output is completed in accordance with the agreed scope of works, timescales and budgets.
  • Working in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver project requirements and add value to the client.
  • Attending design and site meetings.

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Possess

  • A degree in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) and chartered status, or working towards chartered status with a relevant professional institution.
  • A good working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, clash detection and Amtech.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role with strong project management skills.
  • The ability to manage a variety of projects meeting varying deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills working alongside architects and contractors to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to the audience.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of the UK construction market.
