Graduate Transport Modeller
Join Sweco as a Graduate Transport Modeller within the Transport Modelling Team in Birmingham.
What does the role involve?
- Utilise analytical and problem‑solving skills to find quick, innovative, and practical solutions to complex transportation issues.
- Work closely with experienced consultants, providing day‑to‑day technical input as part of a team of experts.
- Deliver data analysis and visualisation using automation and scripting.
- Build skills in using bespoke transport modelling software, which you will learn through the graduate scheme.
- Produce clear, well‑reasoned, and persuasive reports that effectively interpret data and other evidence, ensuring findings are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
- Ensure your output is completed in accordance with the scope of works, timescales and budgets.
- Work in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver project requirements and added value to the client.
- Support engaging with key clients in remote and face‑to‑face meetings.
- Embark on the Transport Planning Society\’s Professional Development Scheme, supporting progression towards becoming a Chartered Transport Planning Professional.
Who are we looking for?
- Have a degree relevant to the role you’re applying for.
- Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
- Are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
