Sweco Building Control are the leading Building Control consultancy in England and Wales, providing market‑leading expertise as a Registered Building Control Approver since 1998. Our approach is to listen and engage with our clients, anticipate the regulatory issues that will need resolving and work in partnership to deliver a successful project.
What does the role involve?
You’ll manage a broad and interesting range of projects where you will be a member of a highly motivated team and have responsibility for:
- Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
- Undertaking site visits, preparing site visit reports, witnessing tests (therefore a full, valid driving licence is essential).
- Attending client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building control work.
- Being familiar with and using the management systems, including complying with the Quality Management system.
- Operating in accordance with the commercial requirements of the projects (costs and programme).

- RICS, CABE, CIOB or similar accreditation.
- Strong Building Control experience with RBI registration.
