Let’s transform society together… We’re Sweco, the leading design, engineering, environmental and regulatory consultancy in Europe. We’re searching for a motivated Principal Transport Planner to join our Glasgow office. The role offers flexible working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

About the role

The successful candidate will deliver a range of transport planning projects, contributing to business development and supporting a portfolio that includes scheme appraisals, business case development, feasibility studies, accessibility analysis, stakeholder engagement and strategy development. You will work in a collaborative team with engineers, planners and environmental scientists.

Responsibilities

  • You will be leading the delivery of a wide variety of project transport planning and project delivery tasks for a range of public and private sector clients.
  • You will work alongside our team of transport planners as well as engineers, planners and environmental scientists as part of a multi‑disciplinary delivery team.

Core duties

  • Contributing to various transport planning projects such as transport appraisal, business cases, sustainable travel, stakeholder and public consultation, monitoring.
