Do you have what it takes to transform society? We are looking for a talented and motivated Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services design team in Maidenhead or London. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, delivering detailed Building Services designs for UK and overseas projects. The role offers flexible working, with a minimum of three days per week in the office/on site and flexible start and finish times.

What does the role involve?

  • Undertaking outline and detailed designs and specifications for electrical works.
  • Providing day‑to‑day technical input as part of a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Ensuring design output is completed in accordance with the agreed scope of works, timescales and budgets.
  • Working in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver project requirements and added value to the client.
  • Attending design and site meetings.

To be successful in this role you’ll possess:

  • A degree in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) and chartered status (or working towards chartered status) with a relevant professional institution.
  • A good working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Clash Detection and Amtech.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role with strong project management skills.
  • The ability to manage a variety of projects meeting varying deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills working alongside architects and contractors to consider problems and devise innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to your audience.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of the UK construction market.
