We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Sustainability Consultant to join our team in either Maidenhead or London.
What does the role involve?
As a Sustainability Consultant specializing in Green Certification and Sustainability Strategy, the successful candidate will play a vital role in driving sustainability initiatives, developing green certification strategies, and delivering sustainable solutions to our clients.
The position requires a strong understanding of BREEAM and a proven track record in providing sustainability consultancy services.
- Leading and managing green certification projects, primarily focused on BREEAM assessments.
- Developing and implementing sustainable certification strategies for new and existing buildings.
- Conducting site visits, audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with sustainability standards and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Mentoring graduate BREEAM Assessor and BREEAM APs.
- Working with Sweco's Artificial Intelligence technologies to increase productivity of the Certification Assessments and Processing.
Producing clear, accurate and professional technical reports and supporting documentation.
- Identifying and recommending improvements to design solutions and internal processes and sharing learning through knowledge management channels.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their sustainability objectives and develop comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with their goals.
- Conducting sustainability assessments to identify opportunities for improving environmental performance and reducing carbon footprint.
- Providing expert advice on sustainable design, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management and other sustainability practices.
- Leading client meetings, workshops and presentations to communicate sustainability strategies, project updates and outcomes effectively.
- Assisting in business development activities, including proposal writing, project scoping and identifying opportunities for expanding Sweco's sustainability services.
- Preparing comprehensive reports and documentation, including sustainability performance metrics, project summaries and recommendations for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering or Architecture. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
- BREEAM Assessor and BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) qualification is essential, along with demonstrated experience in providing sustainability consultancy services, including green certification and sustainability strategy development.
- Strong knowledge of BREEAM and other sustainability frameworks (LEED, WELL, etc.).
