- Apprentice Project Manager to join our Water team in
Leeds .
We are looking for someone who can manage priorities effectively, communicate clearly and contribute positively to team success.
This role offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain the essential knowledge, understanding and skills required to be successful as a project manager.

What does the role involve?
- Providing support in planning and scheduling of project activities
- Cost management/forecast support for projects, learn how budgets, scope and programme timelines are managed
- Collating, analysing and presenting project data in reports
- Providing support to document control and project governance
- Developing skills in new software including Microsoft Project to allow support to Senior team members for planning and programming of activities
- Shadow experienced project managers allowing you to eventually take on more responsibilities
- Working towards your formal qualification
- Keeping a work diary / portfolio of evidence outlining your training progress throughout your apprenticeship allowing demonstration of how knowledge, skills and behaviours are being met, including regular 1-2-1s with your Team Manager
What we’re looking for from you
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal communication
- Good organisational skills. Have the ability to keep track of tasks, deadlines and documents.
- Time management, be able to plan your own work and helping the project and project teams stay on schedule.
- Good attention to detail, being able to spot risks, errors, and missing information early.
- Must be able to work well within a team and with different stakeholders but equally be able to work well on your own.
- Have the ability to help find practical solutions when issues come up.
- Have the ability to respond to changing priorities and project conditions.
- IT skills – using tools like Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint etc)
Qualifications
- Essential: Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade 4/C in Mathematics, English Language & or Science/Engineering subject
- Level 2 qualification will also be considered in English Language and Maths as equivalent to GCSE Grade 4/C
- Desirable: Minimum of 96 UCAS Points, at A Level / T‑Level, all subjects considered
