We are now seeking applicants for the November 2026 cohort of our Early Careers Graduate Scheme. Uniquely, we recruit to role – and right now we’re looking for a Graduate Environmental Consultant to join our team. This role will be based in our Bristol office and can be worked flexibly with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office/on site and the option of adjusted start and finish times.
This role plays an integral part in ensuring projects are delivered in the most sustainable way, maximising social value and ensuring the end result leaves a positive impact on the environment.
What does the role involve?
- Help with the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA's) on a range of projects, which may involve coordination of tasks such as site visits, land access and consultation.
- Undertake elements of the environmental impact assessment of projects such as baseline data collection, consultation and report writing.
- Attend and participate in meetings and site visits.
To be successful in this role you’ll possess:
- An undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, EIA or another related subject.
- Knowledge/experience with EIA's.
- A relevant Masters is advantageous but not essential.

Who are we looking for?
- Have a degree relevant to the role you’re applying for.
- Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
- Are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Are driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Can work in the UK without restrictions either now or in the future.
This is a permanent role, and we’re looking for candidates who can grow their careers with Sweco without a time limit.
