We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Swayne & Partners in Long Melford. Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE; Up to £70,000 for Certificate Holders
The Opportunity: Long Melford offers the opportunity to work within a friendly branch practice where continuity of care, strong client relationships and personalised veterinary medicine are at the heart of what we do. This role is perfect for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys building lasting client relationships, managing cases from start to finish and working with genuine clinical autonomy.

- Providing high-quality first opinion consultations
- Performing routine soft tissue surgery confidently and independently
- Managing a varied medical and surgical caseload
- Building long-term relationships with clients and their pets
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider Swayne & Partners team

About You: We’re looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years' UK small animal experience (5+ years preferred)
- Confidence in routine surgery
- Excellent communication and consulting skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach
- A passion for delivering exceptional veterinary care
Certificate holders are welcomed, and we actively support further study and professional development.
Working Pattern: Four-day week 8:30am–6:00pm; Thursday and Friday are fixed working days; 30-minute unpaid lunch; 1 in 5 OOH weekends based in Bury; Time off in lieu following weekend work.
