Job Description
- Coordinate and oversee the movement of goods and materials
- Collaborate with various departments to plan and schedule shipments
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Resolve issues related to transportation and logistics
- Prepare and manage shipping documents and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and efficiency
Customer Service
- Communicate with clients (internal & external) and provide updates on the status of their shipments
- Communicate potential problems to project teams and recommend solutions
- Provide advice and assistance to clients whilst maintaining excellent relationships
Reporting and Admin
- Maintain records of all transactions, purchases, and logistics for reference and auditing
- Prepare daily priority lists, weekly project status reports and project budgets
- Regularly track and update project statuses
- Develop work schedules for various departments to ensure that projects and processes are on schedule
- Process shipment documents
- Check documents for accuracy
- Data entry
- Track shipment status, looking out for and dealing with any incidents
- Create customs clearance documents
- Maintain and pass KPIs service standards
- Ad hoc duties
Profile
- Proven experience as a Shipping Coordinator or similar role
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of ERP (SAP) systems
- Proficient use of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
