Reporting to the Desktop Support Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective support of IT systems and services throughout the Trust, to support first class patient care.

As part of the Desktop team you will be supplying 2nd line Desktop support to our users. You will be an escalation point for 1st line Service Desk and work with technical specialists at 3rd line, projects and within our Supplier base. You will be responsible for the effective and efficient support of IT systems within the Trust to support first class patient care.

As this role is required to support a specific project, the successful candidate will be required to be on site five days per week. Hybrid or remote working is not available for this position. The successful candidate can be based at either Trust HQ in Exeter or Bristol St James and will be required to travel regularly between both sites to provide effective project support.

A standard working week of 37.5 hours.

Holiday entitlements of 27 days per year, plus general and public holidays, rising to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.

  • Education & Qualifications: 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including English & Mathematics; HNC/HND or equivalent in Computer Skills/experience.
  • Previous Experience: Reasonable experience in a similar environment; Experience of Microsoft operating systems; Experience of computer networks.
