South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a skilled EOC clinician to join the EOC Education Team and develop in the area of education and professional development. A substantive part-time (0.5 WTE) position is available. The post holder will already be a high-performing EOC clinician with a growth mindset, a love of learning and a passion to develop others. The role will involve supporting the delivery of EOC education, and the wider Education Department, in education, professional development, and learner support.

Main duties of the job:

  • This role will be working in the Education Department to enable SWAST staff to deliver high quality pre-hospital patient care by providing innovative, efficient and effective in-service training and education. This may include delivery in the classroom setting and/or in the workplace to individuals and groups of staff.
  • Provide proactive and dynamic leadership, acting as an educational figurehead, promoting high quality patient care, examination and assessment, values and appropriate care pathways.

Person Specification:

  • Cert Ed or PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (minimum level 5)
  • Level 6 or higher Clinical Supervision qualification
  • Level 6 or higher Mentorship qualification
  • ALS Provider
  • Experience of mentoring
  • Experience of teaching at higher education level
  • Working towards post-graduate level qualification such as MSc Management or Clinical Leadership qualification
