About the Role
Due to an upcoming maternity leave, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning Administrator to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a key hire within the business, replacing a highly experienced team member and supporting advisers with more complex technical administration duties. While initially offered as a maternity cover position, the company has ambitious growth plans and would be open to retaining the successful candidate on a permanent basis should the right long-term opportunity arise. This role will suit an experienced financial planning administrator who enjoys the technical side of administration and is confident working with pensions, investments, trusts, bonds, trades, and new business processing within a fast-paced IFA environment.
Responsibilities
- Processing new business applications across pensions, investments, protection, trusts, and inheritance tax products
- Obtaining and verifying Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements for new and existing clients
- Preparing annual review packs and supporting documentation for client meetings
- Processing transactions, trades, and fund switches both on and off platform
- Supporting advisers with complex technical administration requirements
- Handling deceased client cases with professionalism, sensitivity, and accuracy
- Managing letters of authority and liaising with product providers
- Responding to client and adviser queries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintaining accurate client records and company systems
- Acting as a key point of contact for advisers, clients, and providers
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with FCA regulations and company procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an IFA, Wealth Management, or Financial Planning administration role
- Significant experience processing new business across pensions, investments, protection, trusts, and estate planning products
- Strong technical administration experience within Financial Planning
- Knowledge of trusts, bonds, inheritance tax planning, and deceased client processes would be highly advantageous
- Experience processing trades, fund switches, and platform transactions
- Strong understanding of provider platforms and financial planning products
- Experience maintaining client records and supporting advisers within a regulated environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- A proactive and resourceful approach with a genuine commitment to client service
Pay range and compensation package
- £27,000 - £35,000 basic salary depending on experience
