Swarm Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an established independent financial planning firm based in Folkestone that is committed to helping clients achieve their financial goals through personalised, long-term financial advice. The business prides itself on building lasting client relationships and providing tailored financial planning solutions across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection, and estate planning.

Due to continued growth and future expansion plans, they are looking to recruit an ambitious Paraplanner who is interested in developing into a Financial Adviser over time. Working closely with an experienced Adviser, you will gain valuable exposure to client meetings, financial planning recommendations, and relationship management while continuing to build your technical knowledge and paraplanning expertise. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys paraplanning but has a long-term ambition to progress into an advisory role, with full support, training, and development provided along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare suitability reports and recommendation documents
  • Conduct financial planning research and technical analysis
  • Assist the Adviser with client meetings and review appointments
  • Support the preparation of financial planning recommendations
  • Process new business applications through to completion
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation using Intelliflo Office
  • Liaise with providers and third parties to progress client cases
  • Support ongoing client servicing and relationship management
  • Assist with cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis where appropriate
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with FCA regulations and internal compliance standards
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, legislation, and financial planning opportunities

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Paraplanning role within an IFA or Financial Planning firm
  • RO1, RO2 and RO3 qualified as a minimum
  • Working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning

Required Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement planning, and protection
  • Experience preparing suitability reports and conducting financial planning research
  • Experience supporting Financial Advisers and managing cases from research through to recommendation
  • Experience using Intelliflo Office (IO) is essential
  • Strong report-writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ambition to progress into a Financial Adviser role over time
  • Ability to work independently whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using FE Analytics would be advantageous
  • Experience using Defaqto would be beneficial

Pay range and compensation package

  • Basic Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
