Overview
Regional Operations Manager to oversee the operations in Leicester. This is a career opportunity for an individual with solid experience in operations management. You will work closely with the Operations Director and Managing Director to rapidly resolve issues, driving efficiency from sale through to build and shipping. The successful candidate will ensure good interaction with the wider SWARCO business, promoting SWARCO values.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that customer satisfaction is always maintained – internal and external.
- Be the primary point of contact and lead for the Leicester office.
- Ensure strong communication, teamwork and proactive development of the team.
- Review commercial contracts and arrangements and assess risk in line with company requirements and processes.
- Ensure that all works are conducted only after an agreed form of written contract is in place between the company and the customer.
- Ensure that all works and operations meet company, statutory and contractual requirements.
- Control projects and contracts to protect the best interests of the company.
- Identify opportunities for growth and communicate these internally.
Qualifications and Profile
Essential
- Equivalent to GCSE Level in English and Mathematics.
- Solid experience running a busy installation & maintenance business.
- Experience in financial management and delivering high-profile contracts to a local authority client in a busy environment.
- Ability to balance conflicting requirements to produce practical and effective solutions.
- Decision-making based on fact.
- Works well under pressure and has excellent prioritisation skills.
- Previous management experience.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Competent in report formatting and writing.
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Verbal skills including tact, diplomacy and persuasion.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable
- Equivalent to GCSE in Information Technology.
- Experience in Traffic Control environment.
- Knowledge of statutory obligations for maintenance and installation service providers.
- Ability to motivate, coach and mentor others.
- Ability to identify clear succession potential in the team.
- Sector 8 accredited.
