What you will do
The role will be to install, refurbish and/or repair a variety of equipment, including traffic signalling and other electrical street equipment such as street lighting, CCTV and barrier systems etc. to customer specifications. The successful candidate will also take control of a work site and deliver tasks on time, undertaking a smooth handover to the customer. Customer service is key to delivery as well as ensuring that QHSSE regulations and procedures are followed at all times. Although predominantly based in the St Albans area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre districts which may involve overnight stays.
What we are looking for
- GCSEs in English, Maths & Sciences (or equivalent)
- Sector 8 Accreditation (desirable, training will be provided)
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Understanding of traffic signal site installation and basic theory
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- Ability to work at heights
- An organised and enthusiastic work ethic
- Full driving licence
- Right to live and work in the UK
