What you will do

The role is to install, refurbish and/or repair a variety of traffic signalling equipment, as well as electrical street equipment such as street lighting, CCTV and barrier systems, to customer specifications. You will take control of a work site, manage tasks to be completed on time and deliver smooth handovers to customers. Customer service is key to delivery, and you will ensure that QHSSE regulations and procedures are followed at all times. Although predominantly based in the St Albans area, you may be required to work in other Service Centre districts, which could involve overnight stays.

What we are looking for

  • GCSEs in English, Maths & Sciences (or equivalent)
  • Sector 8 Accreditation (desirable, however, training will be provided)
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Understanding of traffic signal site installation and basic theory
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • The ability to work at heights
  • An organised and enthusiastic work ethic
  • Full driving licence
  • Right to live and work in the UK
