About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Sales Administrator to join our team in Ellesmere Port. Supporting the sales department, you will play a key role in managing customer enquiries, processing orders, preparing quotations and providing a consistently high standard of customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue accurate quotations in response to customer enquiries.
- Process sales orders and manage them through to completion.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates on orders, deliveries and lead times.
- Deliver excellent customer service, resolving queries and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Maintain accurate customer, quotation and order records within CRM and ERP systems.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team.
- Liaise with production, purchasing, logistics and warehouse teams to coordinate order fulfilment.
- Monitor order progress and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sales administration or similar administrative role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience of CRM and ERP systems (such as SAP, Sage or Oracle).
