About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and pragmatic Senior Analyst to join our growing team of embedded business analysts, helping to drive commercial value in our data-driven SaaS ecommerce environment. This is a pivotal role within the team, offering a high degree of ownership and the chance to directly shape how data and insights are used to influence decision-making across the business. You will be embedded within a key product team, acting as a strategic partner to ensure stakeholders possess high-impact commercial insights. You will execute the deep-dive analysis and reporting that powers our business, from internal commercial insights for Sales and Finance to the trusted data enabling our customer-facing agentic systems. We need a hands-on expert to elevate our technical standards and ensure our analyses translate into measurable commercial success. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with high ownership and impact, and have a strong commercial acumen, we’d love to hear from you!
Key responsibilities
- Stakeholder Partnership & Analytical Execution: Act as the trusted data partner for your embedded function. You will translate broad business questions into clear analytical requirements, ensuring your output prioritises work that directly supports commercial goals like ARR growth, retention, and operational efficiency.
- Technical Mentorship & Code Quality: Champion best practices by conducting rigorous code reviews and mentoring other analysts on the team. You will uphold and help refine our technical standards (SQL style guides, Git version control, dbt modelling) to ensure all code produced is reusable, scalable, and maintainable.
- Deep-Dive SaaS Performance Analysis: Take ownership of monitoring and analysing critical SaaS KPIs (e.g., NRR, CAC Payback, LTV:CAC, Churn). You will go beyond descriptive reporting (‘What happened?’) to deliver diagnostic and predictive insights (‘Why did churn spike in Q3?’), uncovering the root causes of performance trends.
- Data Integrity & Metric Definition: Proactively identify data quality issues and collaborate with Analytics Engineers to resolve them. You will provide input and support in maintaining the “Single Source of Truth” by ensuring consistent metric definitions within your domain and supporting the creation of trusted models in the warehouse/BI layer.
- Commercial Storytelling & Insight Delivery: Synthesise complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. You will move beyond simple dashboards to deliver actionable recommendations, proactively highlighting risks and growth opportunities to non-technical audiences.
What we would like to see
- 5+ years in Data/BI/Product Analytics, ideally in high-growth B2B SaaS, with a strong record of impact and mentoring.
- Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions) and experience with Python/R for stats, forecasting, or automation.
- Strong commercial acumen and expertise in SaaS metrics (NRR, CAC Payback, PLG funnels). Able to translate business needs into analytical frameworks.
- Expert-level BI tools (Looker/Tableau/PowerBI) for designing intuitive, high-adoption self-service dashboards.
- Exceptional data storytelling and communication; synthesising complex data into clear, actionable narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with modern data stacks (Snowflake/BigQuery + dbt); comfortable with git, reading dbt code, and contributing to semantic layers.
- Rigorous approach to experimental design (A/B testing, causal inference) to measure the true impact of initiatives.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary.
- Stock options in a high-growth startup.
- Competitive PTO with public holidays additional.
- Private Health.
- Pension.
- Wellness benefits.
- Breakfast Mondays.
