Reporting to: VP, Cross-Border Swap is hiring a Carrier Manager – Europe to own carrier performance and carrier relationships across the UK and European network. This is a specialist role with direct accountability for improving service, strengthening internal support, and increasing commercial discipline across key carrier partners. The role will own relationships with DHL Express, Royal Mail, Evri, Pro Carrier, and selected European parcel partners. It will lead service reviews, support merchant and commercial teams, and provide the first line of carrier expertise on European shipping matters.
Key responsibilities
- Own strategic and operational carrier relationships across the European portfolio
- Lead service and commercial reviews with key carriers
- Manage carrier-side escalations and drive corrective action
- Assess lane performance and recommend routing improvements
- Support Sales and Account Management on European carrier and lane questions
- Provide internal guidance on carrier capability and service fit
- Maintain structured reporting on carrier health, cost trends, and exception patterns
- Work closely with Operations, Product, Finance, and leadership on carrier-linked decisions
Candidate profile
- 6–10 years in parcel, logistics, or carrier-management environments
- Strong experience with UK/EU parcel networks
- Direct exposure to performance management, carrier review, and escalation handling
- Able to combine operational judgement with commercial credibility
This role is intended to create clear ownership of European carrier performance and stop routine carrier questions and escalations defaulting to the VP layer.
