Swanwick Hall is an 11‑18 school located in the semi‑rural village of Swanwick on the Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire border, within easy reach of the M1. The school sits on a 23‑acre site around a Grade‑2 listed Hall and has a student body of over 1,000.

About the role: We are seeking a Receptionist to join our friendly administration team. The role provides front‑line customer service to all visitors, staff and students. The successful candidate will deal with all queries calmly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide front‑line customer service to visitors, staff and students.
  • Handle all queries calmly and efficiently.
  • Use Microsoft Office and other ICT tools to support administrative tasks.

Qualifications & requirements:

  • Experience working in a busy office environment in a customer‑facing role.
  • Strong ICT skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills.
  • Highly organised.
  • Must have a satisfactory enhanced level DBS disclosure, children’s barred list check, two satisfactory references and successful completion of vetting procedures in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
  • Not barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
