Location: Swanwick Hall, Swanwick (Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire border). An 11-18 school with over 1,000 students on a 23-acre site around a Grade 2 listed Hall. The school is a member of The Two Counties Trust and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Grade and Salary: Grade 4: £9,928-£14,893 (actual salary dependent on hours agreed; 15-22.5 hours). (£28,598-£31,022 FTE). Working pattern: 15 - 22.5 hours per week, 08:00 to 16:00 over an agreed number of days, Monday–Friday. 39 weeks per year. Contract term: Permanent.

The Role: The Family Welfare Officer is required to improve pupil progress and attendance while supporting pupils in school and their families whose difficulties present significant barriers to their learning journey. Providing early intervention, working with external agencies and signposting support during stressful periods.

The Person: The successful candidate will be confident, sensitive and able to support and empower people to access support and overcome challenges. They should be able to manage challenging behaviour from pupils and family members and demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding issues.
