About The Role We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Sunderland. Position: Support Worker Location: Sunderland Hours: Full‑time or part‑time Shifts: Days, evenings, nights, weekends Support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people, respecting their individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Responsibilities Provide support to empower people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting individuality and enabling appropriate choices in line with their support plans. Promote the health, well‑being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support, ensuring they are met inclusively. Facilitate social, educational, or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice. Perform general housekeeping duties which may include shopping, domestic duties and elements of personal care. Complete a range of records and documents as part of the role.
