We are looking for Bank Support Workers in Norwich to provide a high standard of practical and emotional support that enables young people to learn and develop through education and positive life experiences. Support workers empower the people they support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting each individual's choices and enabling them to live the life they wish. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to empower people to achieve their goals and aspirations in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people you support and ensure they are met inclusively.
  • Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including shopping, domestic tasks and elements of personal care.
  • Complete a range of records and documents.
  • Work safely both lone and with the team.

About You (Qualifications)

  • Enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way that respects their personal choice.
  • Adaptable, flexible with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex care is preferred, but all training will be provided.

  • Eligible for a genuine occupational reason to recruit female support workers (as stated in the role).
