We are recruiting Female Only Support Workers to support people to live in and be part of the local community, within their own homes. Our services are about helping people to get out in the community and make the most of their time in their own homes.

Role: Waking Nights Female Only Support Worker

Location: Barnsley

Shifts: Days, weekends

Hours: Part-time, 22 hours

Shift pattern is a rolling 2 week period:

  • Waking night shift 20:00-08:00 - Female only
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

The Role: Whilst fully embracing the company ethos, support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The main focus of the support is to enable the people we support to live a full and happy life, to run their own home and to take part in a range of activities in the community. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support.
  • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
  • Complete a range of records and documents.
