We are excited to be opening a new Supported Living Service in Colne and are looking for a dedicated Waking Nights Support Worker to join our core team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in establishing and developing a new service that supports people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand-new service from day one and help shape a positive, welcoming home for the people we support.

We're looking for passionate, caring and motivated Support Workers to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injuries. You'll be supporting individuals on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis to live fulfilling, independent lives and achieve their personal goals.

The role

As a Support Worker, no two days are the same. You'll play a vital role in empowering people to live the life they choose, supporting them both at home and in the community.

Working across days, evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts, you will:

• Support people to develop independence and confidence in their daily lives
• Encourage participation in hobbies, interests, education and community activities
• Assist with visits to family and friends, shopping trips, walks and social opportunities
• Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
• Promote wellbeing, choice, dignity and inclusion at every opportunity
• Support with household tasks, meal preparation and maintaining a comfortable home environment
• Assist with personal care where required
• Complete records and documentation accurately

About The Service

We provide support to adults with a range of disabilities including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health problems and sensory impairment in the Northwest of England. We provide local, personal and responsive services. We do this by remaining small and staying close to the people we support and the staff we employ.
