About The Role

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos, support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Join us at our service in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire to work 21 hours per week. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The main focus of the support is to enable the people we support to live a full and happy life, to run their own home and to take part in a range of activities in the community. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support.
  • Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
  • Complete a range of records and documents as part of the role.

You will be required to undergo relevant pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS check. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
