We are recruiting a Scheme Manager to join a core team supporting people in the community who have moved on from more complex services. Supported living services provide people an opportunity to live an independent life in their own home.

Location: Telford

Shifts: Days, weekends

Hours: Full-time, 48 hours per week

About You

Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity? Do you have previous experience working in care, managing a team and want to use these skills to develop further and take the lead? This is an opportunity for a pro-active Scheme Manager to join an evolving Care Company and manage our residential living scheme in Hull.

You will need:

  • Previous care management experience, preferably within a supported living environment
  • Hold or be working towards a NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or have a suitable alternative qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all
  • Evidence that you can provide inspiring, motivational, clear, and supportive leadership

The Role

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos, support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way. Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice. General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care. As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
