Overview
We are looking for Support Workers/Carers who care about making every moment matter for the people we support within our service based in Hull.
Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.
Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Experience of challenging behaviour and/or learning disabilities is preferred but all training will be provided.

The role
- To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
- Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
- Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
- General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
- As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service
Park Lodge – Swanton Care, is one of our popular 8-bedroom residential homes. We deliver bespoke tailored packages of care to people diagnosed with various complexities, autism, learning difficulties, and epilepsy. We offer high quality training in autism awareness, epilepsy, medication, and person-centred training for those who require it.
This includes bespoke communication training such as Makaton and health promotion.
