We are looking for Bank Support Workers covering days, evenings, and nights in Sunderland. Support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The main focus of the support is to enable the people we support to live a full and happy life, to run their own home and to take part in a range of activities in the community. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support.
  • Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties can include shopping, domestic duties and elements of personal care.
  • Complete a range of records and documents.

The position involves lone working. You will need to be able to work on a rota that includes shift work and weekends. Experience working within complex care is essential.

About The Service: Eastcliffe is one of our popular 10-bedroom residential homes. We deliver bespoke, individualised packages of care to people diagnosed with various complexities, autism, learning difficulties and epilepsy.
