About the Role
Position: Support Worker
Location: Neath Port Talbot, Wales East
Hours: Part time, 26 hours per week
Shifts: Days
We are seeking Support Workers to join our team in Wales East. Support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to empower people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting their individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices based on their support plans.
- Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met inclusively.
- Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
- Perform general housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties and personal care.
- Complete a range of records and documents as part of the role.
