About The Role

  • Position: Registered Service Manager
  • Location: Seaham
  • Job type: Full time, Fixed Term
  • Working hours: 40 hours per week, to meet the needs of the service.

The role

As the Registered Manager you will utilize your extensive experience and leadership skills, and be responsible for the running of all aspects of the home, ensuring it runs as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining the highest standards of care and safeguarding for the people we support.

About you

To be successful in the role of Registered Manager you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing in a care home environment. In addition, you will also need to:

  • Hold or be willing to achieve the NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a position requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
  • Knowledge of current legislation including regulations, The Quality Standards, and have a good understanding of the role of CQC and experience of dealing with inspections.
  • A full driving licence and own transport would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be required to be approved for registration by CQC as well as undergo an enhanced DBS check and will be subject to extensive referencing and pre-employment checks.

About The Service

Eastholme is a small, 4-bedroom, semi-detached residential home based in Seaham Co Durham. We even have our own private road, a few minutes’ walk from the seafront. The home is in a great location as it gives the people we support, privacy and the option of walking a short distance to the seafront which has many shops, ice cream parlours, cafes and restaurants. We also have fantastic travel links and are surrounded by plenty of natural nature reserves.
