The Role
As the Registered Manager you will utilize your extensive experience and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for the running of all aspects of the home, ensuring it runs as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining the highest standards of care and safeguarding for the children. This is a successful home registered for learning disabilities and mental health. We cater for the younger age group. The home has a settled and stable staff team, along with a lively and happy group of children. This is a genuine opportunity to build on an excellent service within an established and supportive management team.
About You
To be successful in the role of Registered Manager you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted home, working in residential care for children with learning disabilities. In addition, you will also need to:
- Hold or be willing to achieve the NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification.
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a position requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
- Knowledge of current legislation including Children’s regulations, The Quality Standards, Every Child Matters and have a good understanding of the role of Ofsted and experience of dealing with inspections.
- A full driving licence and own transport would be an advantage.
Applications will only be considered from Registered Managers who can evidence good or outstanding outcomes with OFSTED inspections. The successful candidate will be required to be approved for registration by Ofsted as well as undergo an enhanced DBS check and will be subject to extensive referencing and pre-employment checks.

About The Service
Holly House - Courtyard Care, is a large detached home where we support children and young people who have experienced trauma, may have mental health issues and/or have a learning disability. The home has a lot of outside space for the children and young people to take advantage of. We enjoy spending time in the garden playing outdoor sports and relaxing in the summer months.
