Develop and grow as a Positive Behaviour Support Worker with Swanton Community Services team. You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role. We are looking for positive behaviour support workers to join Swanton. Experience in PBS would be beneficial; however, you will receive in-depth in-house training and support within your role. This role is dedicated to delivering positive, person-centred outcomes for adults and young people with complex care needs who rely on our services.
Your work includes:
- Encouraging – promoting independence where possible and enabling service users to thrive
- Supporting – every aspect of daily life needs your full attention: personal hygiene, mealtimes, mobility, social activities, finances and more
- Communicating – effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
- Engaging – promoting physical & emotional motivation to enhance daily life
- Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
- Monitoring – keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
- Team player – contributing to a well organised and effective service
Your proven experience includes:
- Health and social care, with a minimum of a Level 2 NVQ
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with service users, their circle of support and colleagues
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Good IT skills
