As Care Team Leader you will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team to enable the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will work in a pro‑active, responsive, effective and person‑centred way to ensure that the lives of the people you and the team are supporting are enriched, to be the best they are able.

Location: Durham, Sunderland (SR7 9)

Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week

About The Service: Swanton Care specialises in supported living, community support and provides a number of community support packages for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. All are established with the full involvement of the families who are involved in the recruitment and selection of staff to ensure the best fit for the people they will be supporting. We are a well established company and have a great reputation in the local community amongst people we support, families and professionals.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, previous experience within a similar managerial position in a care setting is essential. In addition:

  • You will be willing to work towards or have a level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • You will be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high quality, person‑centred care for the people we support and be able to provide inspiring, motivational, clear and supportive leadership for our colleagues.

About The Service: We are a residential care home situated in the heart of Murton, County Durham, providing 24/7 support and care to 10 people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
