About The Role
The Estates Operative will be expected to uphold the Company’s aims and objectives in ensuring that the property and associated grounds are kept in a safe, well maintained and compliant manner at all times. Working to the Company Policies and Procedures, carrying out all aspects of the role competently and safely at all sites at which you are engaged or as directed by the relevant Property Services Officer.

Main responsibilities
- To ensure the site always remains a safe, secure and pleasant environment to work, reside or visit.
- To ensure that all critical systems and services such as drainage, water, lighting, heating, fire and related alarm systems are functioning appropriately.
- To work in conjunction with / alongside the Registered Service Manager, Senior Management representatives and Authorities in maintaining a well-planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance regime
About you
- demonstrable competence in one or more of the following trades: joinery; decoration; plumbing and at least 2 years in a similar maintenance based role.
- sound understanding of the principal requirements of Health & Safety and Fire Safety and able to learn how they apply to a Residential Care setting, coupled with awareness and understanding of Fire Risk Assessments & Water Hygiene Service Risk Assessments
- experience of loan working and ability to work on allocated tasks without or with minimal supervision supported by good Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
- Able to undertake general gardening duties including mowing grassed areas, tending to plant areas, cut back shrubbery & bushes/hedges etc.
- Possession of a valid UK driving licence is essential to undertake this role.
