We are recruiting Support Workers/Carers based in Hadleigh, Suffolk to support people to live in and be part of the local community, within a supported living environment. Our services are about helping people to get out in the community and make the most of their time in their own homes.

While fully embracing the company ethos, support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Role:

  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
  • Complete a range of records and documents.
  • Each person we support has 1 to 1 support.
  • Lone working and team-working.

Requirements:

  • Due to limited public transport in the area, a car driver is essential to ensure staff can work flexibly and reliably. Applicants based in Hadleigh area are an exception, as transport is more accessible locally, so driving is not required.

Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex care is preferred but all training will be provided.
