Position: Deputy Manager
Location: Caidreach House, Falkirk - Reddingmuirhead
Job type: Full time, fixed term
Working hours: 40 hours a week, may be required to cover out of hours shifts responding to the needs of the service.
You will be responsible for supporting your service manager to set the culture of your service. Leading and inspiring the teams to ensure that everyone within it lives and breathes our philosophy. The Role
- Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team in supporting the people they support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
- You will be proactive and support the development and skills of Support Workers. This will include recruitment, induction, supervisions, annual appraisals, training, coaching, rota management, sickness and absence management.
- Take the lead to help Support Workers understand their responsibilities and by doing so ensure that safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led support and care is delivered at all times.
- Ensure that all the people we support have person-centred support/care plans. You will be able to create and update these plans as per any changes that are required.
- To oversee and support the development of excellent quality within the service. You will design, develop and maintain excellent service user records.
- Working in a supportive manner that empowers the service user to live their life in their chosen manner.
This is a fixed-term role.
Qualifications / Experience
- Experience in a deputy manager role and/or leading a team.
- Able to demonstrate leadership and people-management skills.
