The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 £ per hour.

We are looking for Support Workers who care about making every moment matter for the people we support, regardless of qualifications or experience. Support Workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Shifts: Days, evenings, nights, weekends

About you

The role

  • To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
  • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as, possibly, elements of personal care.
  • As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service

The Dispensary - Swanton Care is a stunning care home situated in a quaint picturesque village close to Durham city. We are a fairly new service, opened in May 2023 where we offer superbly adapted apartment style living to 5 people who require specialist care and support who live with complex needs including autism, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
