Job Title: Recycling Operative Location: High Wycombe Company: Swanstaff Ltd Job Overview: Swanstaff Ltd is seeking dedicated Recycling Operatives to join our team at a Recycling Centre located High Wycombe, Hertfordshire. This role involves ensuring a high standard of customer service by assisting the public with waste disposal and promoting recycling and reuse practices. Due to the location of the site, applicants may need to have access to their own vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Key Responsibilities: * Safely and efficiently operate the Recycling Centre. * Assist and direct the public in the proper disposal of waste materials. * Collaborate with charity partners to identify and intercept reusable items. * Encourage site users to prioritise reuse before recycling. * Conduct and document daily site inspections and safety checks on equipment. * Identify chargeable waste and ensure accurate processing. * Prevent unauthorized individuals from tampering with or removing waste from the site. Role Requirements: * Experience in recycling or waste management is preferred but not essential. * Adherence to PPE regulations at all times. * Strong customer service skills with a courteous attitude towards customers, clients, and colleagues. * Reliable timekeeping. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Availability to work any 5 out of 7 days, as the site operates 7 days a week. * Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
