Swanshurst is a large, outstanding school for girls aged 11-19 years. We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career. Ofsted (May 2024) described our school as "an exceptional place for pupils to learn" and the curriculum as "exemplary". The school is part of the West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT), opened in January 2025, and is one of its founding members. Responsibilities
- Support the administration team as a professional, effective and efficient receptionist, working under the direct supervision of the HR Manager.
- Provide excellent reception support: deal with visitors, pupils and staff and contribute to day-to-day general administration tasks.
- Demonstrate excellent IT skills, be well organised, a team player, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced school environment.
- Communicate effectively in oral and written form with staff, students, parents and external agencies in a supportive and professional manner.
- Have experience with Microsoft Office, be able to multi-task, stay calm and professional, and have previously worked in an academic environment; use of SIMs is desirable.
Qualifications
- Excellent IT skills and strong organisational ability; ability to work under pressure in a school setting.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; ability to multi-task; experience in an academic environment and familiarity with SIMs are desirable.
